Dismissal of Gänswein Reveals Francis’ Lack of Humanity

SilereNonPossum.it (June 2) commented on Francis’ continued humiliation of Archbishop Gänswein.

• It is unacceptable for an archbishop to be retired at the age of 66.

• None of the previous papal secretaries have retired.

• Gänswein has an “indelible stain” on his life: he served Benedict XVI, as did Archbishop Xuereb, whom Francis sent to Corea and Mongolia.

• The Bergoglio method is to psychologically destroy those he considers his enemies.

• Only a penal procedure for which there is no reason could force Gänswein to return to Freiburg.

• While Praedicate Evangelium stresses that those who end their service in the Vatican must return to “pastoral activity”, Francis once again shows that he betrays his own texts.

• Gänswein has spent time and money repairing the Vatican flat Francis assigned to him, from which he is now being evicted.

• The case highlights Francis' “total lack of humanity”: Misericordes sicut pater, but when it suits me.

Getting fired by Francis? Sounds like a good deal.

He is a devotee of post-conciliar Catholicism. He thinks he knows Tradition. He does not. I doubt his culpability. He was the protege of Papa Ratzinger - one of the chief architects of the Vatican II Church.

Oh! these awesome drawings, we need to hang them all over the Vatican.

He should explain why he said with respect to Pope Benedict XVI partial resignation, That it was similar to The Immaculate Conception
What was the meaning of that remark?

A total non-scandal. Gänswein explained it precisely: It was possible; it was fitting; it was done. Gänswein was quoting St. Thomas Aquinas on the Immaculate Conception. He wasn't saying that Benedict's resignation was as important as, or momentous as the Immaculate Conception.
If Donald Trump were to say that some former friend is a "Judas," (I don't think he has.) there would be no shortage of …More

If Donald Trump were to say that some former friend is a "Judas," (I don't think he has.) there would be no shortage of people getting their panties in a twist, screaming: "Donald Trump said he's Jesus Christ!"

@ArthurMcGowan
I disagree.
The Immaculate Conception is a Singular Event in the History of Salvation.
Seems very odd to me, to compare the "resignation" of a Pope with that event.

He should follow in the steps of Vigano and show loyalty to the Church and not these wolves in wolves clothing, yes I know but they make no effort to pretend anymore.

Francis should not gloat that he will be rid of Ganswein too soon. Ganswein might be exiled soon, but he'll be hurrying back even sooner to watch, or even participate, in Francis' own low key and poorly attended papal funeral very very soon🙏 🙏
ArthurMcGowan
I hope Gänswein will not attend that anti-papal funeral.
