"Blasphemy": US Bishops Condemn Honoring Of Anti-Catholic Homosex Group

US bishops called on Catholics to pray the litany of the Sacred Heart as an act of reparation for the tribute to the anti-Catholic hate group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence by the Los Angeles baseball team Dodgers (June 16).

The bishops' June 12 statement is signed by the presiding Bishop Broglio (Military), Cardinal Dolan (New York) and Archbishop Gomez (Los Angeles).

They call out the haters “whose lewdness and vulgarity in mocking our Lord, His Mother, and consecrated women cannot be overstated,” “It is blasphemy.”

Days before, June 9, Los Angeles retired Auxiliary Bishop Gerald Wilkerson, 83, wrote in an internal memo to various clergy that “none” of the “various kinds of protests” against the Dodgers has the backing or approval of Los Angeles Archdiocese.
