Vatican: There Is No "Commission" Examining An Ecumenical Mass?

Vatican press speaker Greg Burke has declined reports that there is a “Vatican commission” examining an ecumenical mass, They are “simply not true”, Vaticanista Christopher Lamb quotes Burke on twitter.

Twitter-User Leo Wong stays sceptical, “The denials of this always say ‘commission’. No one who says this may be happening, says ‘commission’.”

It is a common practice among Vatican representatives to play on words in order to conceal the truth.

An "ecumenical mass" is a fancy Catholic expression meaning "Protestant heretical service". Just like those god offal "teen masses" that don't really bring in teens but make the old fart liberal clerics feel young and "progressive". PLEASE God give us a Pope that will not care about being politically correct, have a deep love for Catholic tradition, and the rosary. St. Michael rescue Christ's bride …More

The latest denial of the story from the Vatican comes only after Cardinal Woelki's categorical intervention and does not necessarily contradict what Signor Tosatti stated previously. A simultaneous celebration of a Catholic/Protestant Eucharist, at the same altar and with joint communion, was formerly practiced occasionally at the Catholic/Anglican joint parish of St Basil and All Saints in the Archdiocese of Liverool. Fr Kevin Kelly, the former parish priest, explains the practice and its eventual supression in his book, '50 Years Receiving Vatican II: A Personal Odyssey' (Columba Press, 2012). The Blessed Sacrament is still reserved in a common Catholic/Anglican tabernacle in this parish church. (Liverpool Hope University also has a shared Catholic/Anglican tabernacle in its chapel.) The simultaneous Catholic/Protestant Eucharist is featured in a video ( www.youtube.com/watch ) on YouTube.
