Publicity Truck Stopped By Roman Police: “Not in line with the Pope”

Roman police blocked on November 6 a publicity truck with images of John Paul II and of the late Cardinal Carlo Caffarra near St. Peter’s Square on the Via della Conciliazione for two hours. The truck was sponsored by several pro-life organisations.

One billboard shows a quote from John Paul II's 1979 speech in Washington: “We will stand up: When the institution of marriage is abandoned to human selfishness or reduced to a temporary, conditional arrangement that can easily be terminated, we will affirm the indissolubility of the marriage bond.”

The other billboard says “Thank You” to Cardinal Caffarra, one of the four Dubia-Cardinals.

Daniele Sebastianelli reports on twitter that policemen accused the truck of "not being in line with the Pope”. The sponsors of the truck will be questioned by the police on November 7. Sebastianelli asks: “Are we still in a democracy?“
