Francis Visit: Extremely Low Turnout, Compulsory Vaccinations Reversed

Slovakia reversed on Saturday its policy of only allowing Covid-19 vaccinated people to attend public events during Francis September 12-15 visit.

The reason is the very low registration numbers. 300,000 people were expected for the papal mass at the shrine of Sastin but only 30,000 people have registered so far.

“A negative test or proof of overcoming Covid-19 in the last 180 days will be sufficient to get a ticket,” the Slovak bishops announced.

In Slovakia, 49.5% of adults are fully vaccinated, compared to over 70% in the EU.

Good for them! It would honor them greatly if he were to read them his “riot act.” I wouldn’t put it past him.
