Saint Remy church in Marly-Gomont, northern France, was vandalised on Friday despite the coronavirus lockdown.
The town’s mayor Dominique Delache wrote on FaceBook.com that he is “very angry.” In France, most churches belong to the State. Therefore, the mayors are responsible for them.
The door was broken, the Easter candle destroyed, the microphone torn off and foam from a fire extinguisher was sprayed throughout the church.
