Belgium Is Discovering Next Step After Euthanasia
Suicide is the leading cause of death among the 15 to 44 years old. More men than women kill themselves. The Belgian government has published guidelines “to prevent suicide.”
Only, Lithuania, Slovenia, Latvia, and Hungary are worse, countries which have – except Latvia – a strong Catholic background.
However, the Belgian figures are misleading because medical assisted suicide is not included. This brings the real number of suicides to over 11 a day.
Belgium has been propagating medical suicide for 19 years. Anyone, for a wide variety of reasons, can find a doctor willing to kill him in the name of 'dignity' at any age, Tempi.it (May 28) writes,
“How can the Belgian authorities which have nurtured such a culture of death be surprised that more and kill themselves without passing through the state bureaucracy? That is the real mystery.”
