Easter Dawn Mass In the Rain

St Nicholas Parish celebrated a 5.45am Easter Sunday Dawn Eucharist in Shannon Field outside Limerick, Ireland, in spite of rain (Facebook.com, April 17).

The faithful stood under umbrellas and a lady was holding an umbrella over the priest. The corporal on the table was completely soaked.

Likely to underline that this was not a Catholic Mass on an altar but a Novus Ordo Eucharist presided on a table, the priest used no altar cloth and put a wine bottle (and toothpaste?) next to the cup. For this he wore a liturgical vestment that looked as if it had been made with child labour.

An ad-lib fabricated Novus Ordo "liturgy" in the rain is of no value, especially when the priest didn't even follow the prescribed words for the NO Mass. It was make-it-up-as-we-go-along. That isn't Catholic, even NO Catholic. It's Protestant in all but name.

Regarding "His All Holiness Bartholomew I of Constantinople", that is his title which is respect and which he keeps, unlike Bergoglio, who has rejected all the ancient Papal titles, including "Vicar of Christ"...which he isn't. He rejected it himself. As for the Russian Orthodox Church, read what their so-called "patriarch" said about the Ukrainians, and how much he is cheering the Russian soldiers and arm in arm with Putin. He encourages the soldiers to go ahead with the war and defend "holy Russia". Just like Pope Francis' Vatican, there ain't anything holy about Russia.
As for Novus Ordo and TLM, just look at the stats, like I did helping a priest publish a book on the disaster of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo. Since it's introduction, Mass attendance in most of Europe went from 55-65% overall (with some countries running as high as 95% such as ireland, Hungary and Poland pre-Vatican II), and the USA at 75%, to the stats for 2021 which show some countries in Europe as low as 2% (Netherlands), and France (5%). Italy is at 35% as is Spain. Ireland is now below 20%, but Poland and Hungary are still fairly high, 70% and 48%. USA is 22%. In my own Archdiocese of Philadelphia, it was 85% pre-Vatican II/Novus Ordo, and today 12%. It took months to get this data, even going down to Catholic U. in DC, but stats don't lie.
Another stat: 800-1110+ priestly ordinations in general, USA 1939-65. Today, 430.
Seminarians pre-Novus Ordo: 48,211 1965.........3,300 today
Priests: 60,476 1964.....................30,771 today........median age 66.2
Nuns: 181,206 1965..................35,933 today......median age 81.5
Brothers: 11,424 1965.......................2,966 today.....median age: 72.0
So keep say how valid the Novus Ordo is!
Just because some Pope in 1965 had the NOVUS ORDO created out of nothing and decreed it valid in 1969 doesn't make it so considering its results.

That is true, the Traditional Latin Mass is best of all. Not the Protestant inspired Novus Ordo.

Hell. The NO don't even get kudos for standing out in the rain at 5.45 am from the mad rad trads. So they were all wasting their time, were they? You want to tell them that? What were you doing at 5.45 am on Easter Sunday morning?

@pmfji Don't asume Kenjiro-san either is or speaks for "the mad rad trads" He speaks only for his own dumb self. Worth noting "trads" like @Mathathias Maccabeus and myself are defending this service, Novus Ordo or not.

Repeating for the braindead- The NOVUS ORDO Catholic Church/Pope/Cardinals/Bishops/priests/nuns/religious Orders are and always have been a waste. A waste of time, effort, money to defend or support them. The faithful are beginning to realise that, which is why so many diocese, and the Vatican itself, is looking bankruptcy 🤪 😂 🤭 😇 😉 in the face in a year or two

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori "What a waste of time the Novus Ordo Catholic Church is." There is only ONE Catholic Church and it is NEVER a "waste".

Would you use that kind of language in a Catholic church? In front of your pastor during a parish social? Yes or no? ;-)
Ultraviolet
@Sp . . Is there such a statue present at this Novus Ordo Mass in the rain? Yes or no?
@Mathathias Maccabeus True, but that doesn't make the language acceptable in church. Around some places, "U mudda#*^%-ing punk-@$$" is a common phrase. A common reply is whippin' outta Glawk an' bustin' caps fo' gittin' disrespected. NONE of which is acceptable anywhere... including church. ;-)More

"That being said,"... then you have no basis for cricizing this Mass or any reason to bring up Pachamama since it wasn't present.

And only about 10-12 people showed up for this service. What a waste of time the Novus Ordo Catholic Church is. When will the Roman Catholic Church be rid of priests like this, moreover, how much longer of Pope Francis !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
