Fire on the Spire of Rouen Cathedral
The tower of the Gothic cathedral in Rouen, Normandy, was on fire. Images from French media show the dark clouds of smoke.
Construction work is currently underway on the tower.
The fire appears to have started on Thursday afternoon. The major fire-fighting operation is still underway, but the fire is under control.
The cathedral has been evacuated. Emergency services are on the scene to assist those affected.

Marine Le Pen winning...muslims protest...and all of a sudden this is on fire again....nah, can't be related.
Just read that there was very little damage, it seems it was mostly the tarp on fire. “ Rouen official Caroline Dutarte said the fire was under control and that the tarp was in place for renovation work.
"There doesn't seem to be too much damage and, above all, no one was injured," she said.”
This is the cathedral, which is also 500 yrds from where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. Joan of Arc will be specially avenged this year. Mind my words.
Pray for the Cathedral of Rouen, France It is more than a thousand years old and its spire is currently and sadly burning…
