A climbing wall has been erected in Vienna's Cathedral, reports Heute.at (27 April) with the astonished title: "What's a climbing wall doing in the cathedral?"
The structure stands in the nave, is seven metres high and part of the BeBlessed.at campaign, where high school graduates who finish school next week can sign up for a prayer.
Father Nikolaus Krasa, Vienna’s vicar general, considers the climbing wall a symbol for the "last metres of the school career". He even climbed the wall himself "during a service".
The background: Because the Novus Ordo religion is meaningless to school-leavers, its functionaries try to pull the wool over their eyes with some kind of bait-and-switch.
