Nothing to smile about in the Vatican... Only sackcloth and ashes he should have after 11 years of the false prophet. Sometimes it seems like these bishops live in a parallel reality enchanted by the great deceiver

They do live in a parallel reality, surrounded by “yes men.” Most of them were removed from any connection to reality when they studied in Rome, and the great deceiver lurked everywhere.
I think he was told by the man in white... that since he's been a 'silent' obedient critic, lately, not sending any more "dubia" and celebrating the Traditional Liturgy "in communion" (which is an oxymoron) with Francis, he can keep his beautiful Vatican flat and comfortable pension....?! That could certainly make him grin happily!
@Opera 369 Perhaps, but Burke is still attacked by Francis' proxies for fomenting schism - by asking the faithful to PRAY a 9-month novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe! You can't make this stuff up! 
What does he know that ... we don't?
