Since the first Sunday of Lent, Mass at St. John the Baptist in Allentown, New Jersey, was relegated to the parish hall because Cardinal Roche’s rescript forbids celebrating Mass in a parish church. The bishop applied for a “dispensation” which arrived last week. Last Sunday, Mass was back in the church, reports Peter Carter on social media. The “dispensation” is only valid for two years.
