The Vatican's Dicastery for Religious, known for destroying monasteries, appointed Fort Worth Bishop Michael Olson as pontifical commissary to the the Carmelite monastery in Arlington, Texas, on May 31. This decision is problematic because there is a $1M civil lawsuit of the monastery against Olson after Olson accused Mother Superior Teresa Agnes Gerlach of having an affair with a priest. The diocese argued that the matter concerned Church discipline and shouldn't be heard in a civil court. It is surprising that the matter is not being clarified within the Order.

Very unlikely. ---------------------- I just repeated this for the benefit of those who have been quick to judge this nun, and as usuall side with the "pope" and the Bishop who are against her and her convent. Take a look at her picture. DOES …More

Maybe it's true.......but how could a nun who is dependant on a feeding tube 24/7 and also a veinous drip (possible morphine or chemo, etc.) engage in sexual relations with a priest? Very unlikely. I thik the Bishop and his advisors, and the Vatican, are after the monastery because maybe it is another faithful Catholic house?
A pattern seen over and over with Carmelite cloisters. Same happened in the Jefferson City diocese. Gaydos took over the old monastery and used it for his own residence along with his priest buddies after ousting the remaining nuns. Shame!
