Russian Bishops: Sodoma Supplicans? No Thanks
In a statement on 2 February, they say that the Church has not rejected intercessory prayer for people in various situations and has sought the grace of God necessary for conversion.
"In order to avoid temptations and confusion, the CCER underlines that the blessing of any kind of couples who remain in irregular relationships (cohabitation, same-sex) is unacceptable".
The Russian bishops are following the example of the African bishops and other bishops' conferences such as Belarus, the Antilles, parts of France or the Netherlands.
