WYD: Inter-religious Trees

The August 2 tree planting ceremony at the Tropical Botanical Garden in Lisbon during World Youth Day was inter-religious.

Each of the six trees was associated with one of six religious denominations: Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Among the representatives were Vatican Secretary of State Parolin, and Lisbon Patriarch Clemente.

The "Catholic" representatives underlined that the ceremony remembered a “fraternity between [competing] religions” (ULisboa.pt).

Eternal Father, I offer you the Holy Face of Jesus, covered with blood, sweat, dust and spittle, in reparation for the crimes of communists, blasphemers and of profaners of the Holy Name and of the Holy Day of Sunday. Amen.
Hound of Heaven
The organizers of this WYD have trivialized the Catholic Faith rather than extolled it and evangelized it. For some of those attending the message is that ours is merely one faith among many. All set to house party music provided by an 'ersatz'(?) priest DJ. What a debacle.

One world religion of the false prophet and the Antichrist 😢
