New Bishop: Pope Francis has named Bishop James Johnston of Springfield-Cape Girardeau as the new bishop of Kansas City-St Joseph. He suceeds good Bishop Robert Finn who was unjustly forced by the Vatican to resign. In the past, Johnson has spoken out against homosex pseudo-marriage and against a proposed Springfield ordinance that would have added so-called sexual orientation and gender identity to the city’s list of privileged classes.
Heterodox Agenda: According to Voice of the Family, Pope Francis has personally appointed leading opponents of Catholic doctrine to the upcoming Synod on the Family. Voice of the Family names the following prelats: Former Brussels Cardinal Danneels, Wellington Cardinal Dew, Cardinal Kasper, Tegucigalpa Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga, Vienna Cardinal Schönborn, Washington Cardinal Wuerl and Chicago Archbishop Cupich.
