German Bishop: Homosex Blessings and Women Clergy Have "Long" Been a Reality
A handout for such events will be concocted, the state bishop said while admitting that he is "grateful" that there are already such pseudo-blessing events.
Bätzing wishes that "all ministries and offices" will be "open" to women in the near or not too distant future. The [invalid] diaconate for women should be intensively "brought forward" and the [invalid] women's priesthood in the medium term.
In Limburg and other dioceses, female pastoral assistants have long been "preaching" in the Novus Ordo Eucharist, he added.
Bätzing finds contemptuous words for Catholics. About those who warn of an " imminent schism" he says, "I clearly don't see that danger." However, he insinuates "that those who particularly like to talk about it are obviously longing for it."
The hard numbers prove Bätzing right. His after-church is not marching towards a schism, but towards self-dissolution. At present, it is still artificially kept alive by the church tax.
