Decadent West: Urinating in Church Is “Freedom of Expression”
Éloïse Bouton, 39, is an exhibitionist and former member of Femen. Accompanied by a dozen oligarch journalists, she entered Saint-Marie-Madeleine Church in Paris topless in December 2013 while a choir was rehearsing Christmas carols.
With a piece of beef liver in her hand, she urinated on the floor and mimed an "abortion of Jesus" in front of the Novus Ordo table.
Bouton was given a one-month suspended prison sentence, which was upheld twice on appeal and then on revision.
But on 13 October, the European Court of "Human Rights" called Bouton's performance a "freedom of expression" and ordered France to pay the exhibitionist €9800, including €7800 for legal fees and €2000 for non-material damages.
Imagine if Bouton had done the same thing in a synagogue...
