Michael Voris’ virulently anti-PiusX ChurchMilitant.com (April 22) published a scoop about alleged abuses in the Society of Saint Pius X.
Now, a PiusX statement called on ChurchMilitant.com “to withdraw this slanderous piece of yellow journalism” (English).
Already in 2019, PiusX informed ChurchMilitant about its cooperation with all investigations, “Regrettably, ChurchMilitant failed to make any mention of it,” repeating instead the cover-up mantra.
An example: ChurchMilitant insinuated that [respectable] German-born Father Wegner, the present U.S. Superior, will be transferred to Austria “far from the reach of criminal prosecutors.”
However, PiusX informs ChurchMilitant that the U.S. has mutual legal assistance treaties with the European Union.
To ChurchMilitant.com’s innuendo that numerous investigations against PiusX are underway in the U.S., but PiusX replies that

Rumor has it that Voris has ties to the Opus Dei cult. And Voris lived most his life as a sodomite and only outed himself before another news organization was about to. Why do people still continue to listen to this definitely not the Pope it's the bishops apostate?

I find it interesting that SSPX has been extremely vocal and public with their criticism of the leadership in Rome but cry foul when they are exposed to the same treatment. Just maybe if SSPX had taken immediate and appropriate action with abuse cases we would not be having this discussion now. I find it interesting that SSPX has been extremely vocal and public with their criticism of the leadership in Rome but cry foul when they are exposed to the same treatment. Just maybe if SSPX had taken immediate and appropriate action with abuse cases we would not be having this discussion now. Same goes for all of the Vatican leadership that has failed to act immediately and appropriately to protect the flock. Avoiding "scandal" via secrecy never works out well in the end.

No assumption intended. I think all sides need to be open and transparent to allegations so that they can be investigated promptly and found to be credible or dismissed. Too many times in the past we have held individuals or groups above reproach to later learn that grave injustices had been committed. Here another example. Is the abuse alleged or proven? The headline reads as an established fact, yet the story speaks of allegations. It's easy to write "Alleged Grooming Victim"
