Mostar Bishop Who Opposed Medjugorje Phenomenon Retired

Francis accepted the resignation of Mostar-Duvno Bishop Ratko Perić, 76, Bosnia on July 11.

To his diocese belongs the false apparition place Medjugorje. Like his predecessor, Perić was a strong opponent of the phenomenon.

Perić’s successor will be Hvar Bishop Petar Palić, 48, Croatia.

It is wrong to state 'false apparitions' as the Ruini Committee declared "First Seven Apparitions in Medjugorje Are Authentic”.

Instead of listening to the bishop, as we should, everyone seems to be a lay theologian. Another evil that has come about in the last 50 years.

Some years ago I read a book entitled The Queen of Peace Visits Medjugorje, thinking it might convince me of the events. I was right. I finished the book convinced that they were not genuine. It seemed to be: Now appearing regularly in the piano bar (sacristy).

About 15 years ago when I was still active amassing my fortune, I would occasionally see a neighbor who worked at an office just down the hall from me. We would simply greet each other but no serious conversations took place until this one day.

I did not see him for more than a week and when I finally saw that he was back I asked him if he was on vacation. He responded by gleefully telling me about his trip to Medjugorje and how he believed it will change his life. Even back then, although I was no expert, I did not fall for the marketing campaign that essentially was and still is Medjugorje. 🤑

He was the first actual visitor I ever met who had been there however I’ve seen too many of his kind on the internet including right here on GTV. 🥴

Generally speaking the Medjugorje gang are indefatigable, intransigent and absolutely unwilling to tolerate any opinion at variance with their own. I had never witnessed this kind of resolve from anyone including fellow Catholics. I was used to Catholics holding their faith close to themselves and unlikely to share it with essentially someone they didn’t really know well. Not the Medjugorians. 🤪

While he was speaking to me I was trying to decide what to do. Was I simply going to nod agreeably or would I argue some of his points. 😎

I did neither. I looked at him menacingly right in his eyes and told him that if he continued with this crap I would knock him out and would have a smile on my face when I did it. 🥳

This devoted nitwit immediately stopped speaking. I am sure I was mentioned when he told his friends about his recent trip to Medjugorje and that shortly afterward he met the devil himself in the form of this guy down the hall (Holy Cannoli) who threatened to punch him. Ergo, Medjugorje must be authentic if the devil is against it.

This is the first time I have told this story and actually forgot about it till today. 🤭

I have mellowed a bit since those days and would not act in the same way today. Nevertheless, this is why I love social distancing. 😷

True of most deluded people Holy Cannoli You'll see the same personality traits from conspiracy theorists insisting the earth is hollow with "reptilians" living there who control world leaders with nano-machines, etc.

GTV has no doubt since broadened your perspective. ;-)

"I was used to Catholics holding their faith close to themselves and unlikely to share it with essentially someone they didn’t really know well. Not the Medjugorians."

...because like many delusional people, they want to make "converts" to their delusion. Doing so serves to confirm and support their own delusions.

"Ergo, Medjugorje must be authentic if the devil is against it."

He accused you of being the devil himself? Maaaan.... I am SO jealous right now. :D

All I ever get accused of around here is being a heretic and an apostate (scored those both earlier today) and a Jewish intelligence agent (earlier this week).

I've gotta start physically threatening people around here. Maybe I can work my way up to being a minor daemon or something.

I'd say that's pretty good Ultraviolet considering that GTV members are very unlikely (with a few exceptions) to ever meet face to face. Although my neighbor didn't call me a devil to my face I'm pretty sure he told his friends about our less than cordial meeting. While most would prefer to be insulting anonymously on the net, we born combatives prefer the personal interaction that comes with a direct meeting. Besides, as long as there are no cameras filming, we can take that meeting to a whole 'notha level.

70 years as a baptized Roman Catholic and never called nor catechized or thought of the Blessed Virgin Mary as a saint. She is known as the Mother of God! Born without original sin and perfect in every way.
Jmy1975
Right but since Mary is still human, she is a Saint. She's the most perfect human that ever lived, that's why she's called Queen of Saints, among other titles. She didn't become a Saint, though, she was Born one.
Child of Our Lady
There's a difference between being conceived without original sin & being born without original sin. Hence her title as the Immaculate Conception.
