No Suicide: Cameroon Bishop Tortured and Murdered
Bishop Jean-Marie Balla of Bafia, Cameroon, did not commit suicide but was murdered, the autopsy report concludes. There was no water in his lungs so he died before being thrown into the river. Further there were “signs of torture” on the body.
According to Cameroon media, Balla wanted to prove an involvement of the government in the death of Abbé Armel Djama, rector of the Minor Seminary in Bafia, who was found dead in his room in May.
