Vatican Apologises For Emotions

The controversial article “Coronavirus – Earth’s unlikely ally” was removed from VaticanNews.va "because it doesn't reflect the editorial line on the subject," Sister Bernadette Reis of Vatican Media told CatholicHerald.co.uk (April 1).

If this were true, one wonders why the article was published to begin with.

According to Sr Reis, it “hurt the sensibilities of many readers,” and “for this we apologise to all of them.”

This formulation implies that Sr Reis apologised for emotions, not for the article's content.

Unfortunately for The Church, the Curia elected him, so that means the title he's calling himself is correct. He's Pope Francis, regardless of his views. Hey, let's not forget the last two popes have been awfully cozy with the Muslims, as well. Most people were only too willing to simply overlook such "lapses".
