HA! Politicians have basically destroyed America and now they think saying a quick prayer will make it all good. Hardly.

If we don’t render unto God what belongs to God, we can never accomplish anything worthwhile. These woke days Caesar wants everything, body and soul.

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori What is "personally religious"?
Kenjiro M. Yoshimori
@frawley -"personally religious" is that someone is religious themselves, but doesn't force it/show it off in front of others. I personally go to Mass sometimes, I visit the Blessed Sacrament often, and I pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Saints, etc., and I wear the Borwn scapular around my neck and a Miraculous medal......but I would not show them off to everyone on the street, or start blessing …More

In other worse, I wouldn't shove religion down everyones throats, like these Evangelical Christians do.
I worked at a fundamentalist "christian" university when I was in college during the Summers in their mailroom. Religion dominated everything. It was always "Jesus this" or "Jesus that". I looked at their University list of Course offerings....10-12 fields in Science, same number of history courses, and a ton of "religion" courses. Everything supposedly is taught "from a Christian eprspective"...whatever that means. I seriosuly doubt if their courses are really valid because every course reeked of fundamentalist Christianity perspective. As an experiment, I asked one of my co-workers if she really believed one of his history courses given on the Prehistoric times, which was taught from a "creationist" perspective. I asked her if she actually believed, according to the description of that class, that prehistoric animals (including dinosaurs) co-existed with humans. When she said "YES!!!", despite all the scientific evidence, I realized that I had been working in a nut-house.
"Personally religious", is being devout in your own faith, but not shoving it down the throats of others, or objecting to those who don't share your views.....like fundamentalist Christians are so guilty of.

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori Reading the New Testament it seems that the 12 Apostles were very “public” with their faith.
Kenjiro M. Yoshimori
@frawley- Yes, that was when it was the true Faith. No offense to him, but the "faith" of Mike Johnson and similar religious groups is not the True Faith, nor expression of the True Church. He and his friends kneeling on the floor was a nauseating display of self-righteousness which is offensive. Pres. Bush II was like that too, and it was offensive when he did it right on television.

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori... I think you take your criticism too far.
They are engaging in semi- public prayer as Eucharistic Procession is public prayer. Yes, they not Catholic but they can surely pray for peace in the Middle East or is that offensive to you.
Kenjiro M. Yoshimori
That's alittle too far. It's nice to be personally religious, but you don't see Catholic members of Congress taking out their rosaries.
I've said it before, having been exposed to that type of Christianity, if it was the only type left in the world (Pentecostalist evangelical bible-based fundamental Christianity), I'd go back to being Buddhist as my ancestors were 550 years ago🤪🤪
