More Confusion About the Vatican's "Peace Initiative"
Francis has allegedly asked Bologna Cardinal Zuppi to lead a "peace mission" to Kiev, the Vatican press office claimed on May 20.
The news was first reported on Thursday by Francis’ friend Elisabetta Pique of LaNacion.com.ar. According to her, Francis would send another prelate, Curia Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, to Moscow. Gugerotti officially denied this on 19 May.
Gugerotti who speaks Russian, only met Metropolitan Anton Yuryevich Sevryuk, responsible for external Russian-Orthodox relations, in Rome on May 3.
On May 20, IlSismografo wrote that the "confused and inextricable" peace mission "is over before it has even begun".
It received a fatal blow from the G7, a group including the USA and six of its satellites. The Biden regime is categorically opposed to any peace talks and is determined to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian.
