Ouellet: “I Am Being Defamed”

Curia Cardinal Marc Ouellet strongly rejects allegations of sexual assault against him contained in a class-action lawsuit filed this week in Quebec Superior Court (Friday evening statement, VaticanNews.va).

The alleged inappropriate touching in public is said to have occurred more than ten years ago.

Ouellet counters, “Having learned of the false accusations made against me by the complainant (F.), I firmly deny having made any inappropriate gestures toward her and I consider defamatory the interpretation and dissemination of these allegations as sexual assault.”

If a civil investigation is launched, he said he will actively participate in it to ensure that the truth is established and his innocence is recognised.

It is amusing to see a representative of Francis' Novus Ordo group which is deeply committed to relativism, invoking the unalterable concept of "truth".

Down goes Ouellette (strike one), Britian is trying in Court the Vatican Secretariat of State for the corruption surrounding purchase of building in London--down goes Parolin (strike two), serious scandals in India surrounding Cardinal Gracias, and a Bishop accused of murdering 4 priests and others and having sex with women and illegit children.....cases handled very badly by Cardinal Tagle (in charge of Evangelization) -strike three.
Three radical Francis trusted protégées ruined and out of the running for Pope. Zuppi's discredited too for his allowance for gay blessings-big Italian scandal. Four down. Any top flight CArdinals in mold of Bergoglio left? Probably not.
As Bergoglio's term comes rapidly to an end, looks liek the end for his crowd too.
