On Sunday Pope Francis visited Rome's Lutheran church. He took questions from the congregation, including one from a Lutheran woman married to an Catholic. The woman complained that they can not receive communion together.
The pope answered, that "life is bigger than explanations and interpretations". Individuals should decide according to their conscience: "It is a question that each person must answer for themselves."
"There is one baptism, one faith, one Lord, so talk to the Lord and move forward. I dare not, I cannot, say more."
Then the pope said the opposite: "I'll never give you permission for that, because this is beyond my competence".
