Italian State Funded Broadcaster Attacks Gloria.tv
The Italian State television RAI3 attacked Gloria.tv in a broadcast on Monday night. RAI3 is financed by tax-payer money. It has a long and dark Communist and anti-Catholic tradition. Already in May 2011, an Italian physician who collaborates with Gloria.tv wrote, “One must always be suspicious of RAI3 programmes because this chanel is in the hands of a pack of left-wing dogs. They're always poisonous, anticlerical, anti-Christian.” It is no honour for Francis to have such friends and to be defended by them. RAI3 calls Francis – quote - “the world leader of the left."
Their Profession Is Slander
Other parts of the transmission vilified Cardinal Burke and Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist, who set up the Dignitatis Humanae Institute near Rome, a school for political education, much hated by the Communists. The RAI3 activists also dirtened the well-known Roman historian Roberto de Mattei. They haven been identified as Giorgio Mottola, Davide Fonda, Tommaso Javidi, Norma Ferrara, and Simona Peluso.
Astonishingly Unprofessional
The RAI3 activists never got in touch with Gloria.tv and proceded in an astonishingly unprofessional way. Without giving any notice, they drove 800 km from Rome and appeared on February 12 in front of a private house in the Swiss mountains, where relatives of Father Reto Nay live. Father Nay is an unpaid volunteer for Gloria.tv. Neighbours noticed suspicious people creeping around the house like thieves. When a brother of Father Nay returned from work, dressed in working clothes, the activists mistook him for the priest and could not be convinced that they had met the wrong man, although there is abundant footage of Father Nay on the Internet.
A Left-Wing Attack
Father Michele Chimienti, an Italian philosopher, called the programme “disgusting” and “filthy.” Talking to LaFedeQuotidiana.it, he explained that the broadcast was a vulgar and crude political and left-wing attack, serving Francis in a naive way. He stressed that – quote – “we Christians and priests will not give account to the reigning Pope, but to God alone".
A Monument to Misinformation
The blog Opportune Importune compared the RAI3 activists with the serpent which fights against the woman according to Genesis 3. He calls their programme an “embarrassing monument to misinformation”. His conclusion, “Those who need to represent their opponents in a slanderous way only show that they have no arguments.” He identifies this as a “well-known left-wing behaviour.”

For reasons already stated, those individuals (that neighbors refereed to as suspicious people) were potential thieves. How is one to know that creeping around unknown individuals are not thieves? Aren’t the Swiss usually armed? Bang. Bang. Bang. Problem solved.

In life, not everyone is going to love you. Some will, some will be indifferent and a few, like RAI3, will openly and publicly malign you. It comes with the territory. Others know this outfit's left wing reputation so what does it matter anyway. Let it be.
However, this is one reason why Gloria.tv should have an Italian (preferably a Sicilian) as part of their executive board of directors.
A Sicilian would know what to do. Perhaps he and his fellow executive board members could pay Giorgio, Davide, Tommaso, Norma, and Simona a little visit and have a nice Sicilian dialogue with them.
