Cardinal Müller Surprised about His Appointment to Ex-Synod

The ex-synod is "a non-binding exchange of opinions", Cardinal Müller told DPA.de (4 October):

"Ultimately, it's about Francis issuing a final document in the circle of his friends according to his own taste. And that is questionable."

It will remain unclear, he said, whether Francis is acting as a Pope or only as a kind of assembly leader who sums up what has been said.

Müller was surprised to be appointed to the ex-synod: "After all, I don't belong to Francis' favourite circle of friends."

Other motives could have played a role: "Perhaps they wanted to avoid the impression of being one-sided."

The ex-synod is in danger of losing sight of what is Catholic: "In the end, this could also become a plea from the United Nations or some charitable organisations."

Müller criticises the Ex-Synod for taking place behind closed doors in order to preserve the interpretative authority: "But it won't work, on the contrary." 460 people, he said, cannot be controlled. Some may even have their cell phones on.

Cardinal Müller warns the Synod on Synodality may sound more like the UN than the Church Cdl. Müller also said that he thinks he was only chosen as a Synod member by Pope Francis as a token conservative to give the appearance of impartiality.

These men are enablers of Bergoglio's dismantling of the Roman Catholic Church and I have 0 respect for them.

@tbswv -I agree 100%. Though Cardinal Muller talks the talk as do the Dubia Cardinals, they don't "walk the walk", which would be to organize a Council in Rome to condemn the agenda and/or decisions of the Synod and to (if necessary) condemn and depose Pope Francis and call a conclave to elect a true Catholic Pope. It's been done before. in the Middle Ages. It's 100% more urgent today.
If the synod …More

If the synod reaches its expected conclusions, and nothing is done to condemn it, then it is the duty of the Cardinals to assemble and elect a Catholic Pope.....and perhaps if necessary build a true Catholic Church complete with new Vatican, Curia, etc. to serve faithful Catholics....until the true Rome returns to the Catholic Faith.
(Which might be a long time).
