The Elephant in the Abuse Crisis Is the Homosexual Clergy – Bishop Eleganti
The 'elephant in the room' of the sexual abuse cases in the Church is the disproportionate frequency of homosexuality in the clergy, Bishop Marian Eleganti wrote on his blog.
He argues that powerful forces within the Catholic Church try to normalise homosexuality in line with secular gender ideology and calls the infiltration of gender ideology into the Church a "virus".
The bishop refers to several abuse studies, such as the John Jay Report, the MHG Study and the CIASE Investigation, which show that 80% of sexual assaults by clergy involve male victims who are sexually mature.
He adds that the Vatican is systematically obscuring the issue of "homosexuality in the clergy" by classifying most cases of abuse as 'pedophilia'. In reality, given the choice of victims, the abuse cases concern 'ephebophilia', thus homosexual interest in adolescent young men.
Monsignor Eleganti also points out that, although the Vatican document Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis (2016) excludes …More
A senior Swiss bishop has claimed that the disproportionate presence of men with homosexual tendencies in the priesthood is a key factor in clerical abuse scandals.
Why do good bishops like Bishop Eleganti confine their comments to blogs, etc., and fail to "confront Peter to his face" - this failure to take action is doing great harm to the Church - and causing the loss of so many souls. Their refusal to step up and DO something will be judged harshly by Our Lord - when they see Him to give an account of their ministry. What are these bishops afraid of? Loss of salary, so what! The good faithful will take care of them - we will be so elated to see good bishops act like real MEN!
@DrMaria What, exactly, pray tell my good doctor, would you have the “good Bishops” to do? What specific actions (valid, legal and juridical) would you have them take that would “confront Peter to his face” and bring about the reformation you and so many others of us desire and long for?
Good question - I now revise my opinion based upon the latest episcopal appointments as noted here on GTV - along with the latest piece by Chris Jackson in substack on the honoring of a pedophile priest by both Francis and now Leo. Go read it. Get ready to puke. I now think that any change that can be undertaken from a human perspective is too late. The prophesied chastisement will indeed happen. The true Church will go underground while the Vatican apparatus will maintain control of the false synodal church. Pray the Rosary, wear the Brown Scapular of Mt Carmel with love and devotion for Our Lady, keep the Carmelite fasts, refuse to compromise even one iota of the traditional Catholic Faith, and do all necessary to remain in a state of Sanctifying Grace. Thanks for the question. @Live Mike
We live in Evil times! Still, I think the letter by the Transalpine Redemptorists, above, is an excellent start. It leaves us with no one at the helm, but do we really want a captain who is deliberately putting our lives and those of our friends and family in gvave danger?
