"In any rule-of-law state—Austria, Italy, or France—one has never seen a Public Prosecutor put on a show in court simply because a motion for recusal has been filed.
On the contrary, in civilized countries, a magistrate who is aware that such a situation may arise will recuse himself voluntarily.
So why does Alessandro Diddi, Promoter of Justice of the Vatican City State, even go so far as to tell the lawyers: “Thank you for having filed this motion”—and then, clearly taking it personally, launch into invectives and rambling speculations?
Perhaps someone has not quite understood what the actual role of the Promoter of Justice is in this State."
