The thirty-metre statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was struck by a bolt of lightning on February 10.
The moment was caught on camera by Fernando Braga (Instagram.com). Braga has tried many times and for many days to capture such a lightening strike over the statue, “We have to keep trying. Everything is like that. Never give up.”
In 2014, a bolt of lightning struck the statue, damaging the thumb of the iconic figure, after which it had to be restored.

I think it rather was Satan and his horde of demons finding an opening into the Church by Benedict XVI's resignation....and they went fast to work to make sure one of their own, Bergoglio/aka Ppoe Francis, was elected to do their will. And he has.
