Francis says there is insufficient evidence to open a canonical investigation against Cardinal Ouellet for "sexual assault," Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said (18 August).
Ouellet is accused by a woman of publicly "assaulting her on several occasions" during her time as a pastoral worker in Quebec Archdiocese between 2008 and 2010. She described him "kissing" her in public and "touching her buttocks".
The Vatican statement included an assessment by Vatican investigator Father Jacques Servais SJ, who concluded that there were "no grounds for opening an investigation".
“Neither in the written report sent to Francis nor in a testimony via Zoom that I subsequently took in the presence of a member of the Diocesan Ad Hoc Committee, did this person make an accusation that would provide grounds for such an investigation.”
Nevertheless, after the monstrous media propaganda against Ouellet, he now bears the stamp "abuser" and the propaganda will continue.

Regardless of whether this accusation has any validity, most people don’t trust the Church to conduct an in-house investigation into claims of abuse. There has just been too much corruption. The only way that the falsely accused can ever have their names cleared is if the public has trust in those conducting the investigations. The chancery is not enough, and neither is the police, because they only investigate prosecutable crimes, which most of these are not due to statutes of limitations, and so, not being charged has nothing to do with actual innocence, in the minds of a great many.

Ouelette's chances for the Papal throne are 0, same for Parolin due to his China scheme, and same for Tagle because he's done a lousy job as head of office for Missionary work.
The next Pope will probably be someone 100% opposite to Francis......much more like Benedict XVI or even to the right of him. He will be someone who will crack down and eliminate the homosexuals and homosexual influence in the Vatican and the Church. With regard to disipline, he will be harder than JPII. With regard to liturgy, he will be to the right of Benedict XVI. He will be either a well know, beloved African, or a European who more in line with the classic image of a Pope ( he'll dress like a Pope, speak as a Pope, re-open Castel Gandolfo for the Papal vacations), and be an administrator, not a world tourist like JPII, or like Francis tries to be.

Bergoglio is hated in his own diocese(Rome), and hated throughout all Italy. People who go to participate in his audiences and ceremonies are 95% not Italians, unlike past Popes, when Roman people and Italians in general were proud of their Popes, and poured into St. Peter's to see him. Last great Pope for the whoel Catholic Church was Pius XII. He was greatly loved by the Roman and Italian people, and by the whole Church. SAdly, a Pope like him I never saw in my lifetime, and probably never will.

If all these 3 and Parolin are ruined by scandal, the untained and relatively respected by Liberals Sarah and Erdo seem like the stronger candidates.
