A "talking shop" is “a complete waste of time and money” - this is how British journalist Damian Thompson defined synods for EWTN.com (September 9).
He predicts that "nothing" will come out of the upcoming Synod on Synods "except employment for the sort of bureaucrats who are colonising the Catholic Church" while “the Holy Spirit will not be present.”
Thompson calls Francis' anti-Mass Traditionis Custodes “wicked,” saying that Francis is tearing up the beautifully argued documents and thinking of Benedict XVI in front of his eyes.
About the Vatican’s 2020 survey on the Roman Mass which Francis used as a pretext for TC, Thompson said that Communist countries used to have democratic elections and the Communists would always win, “That is roughly the standard of the Vatican's consultation process.”
