Francis Cuts Catholic College from Its Life Line

The Collegium Sanctorum Angelorum, a Catholic college in northwestern Maryland, told LifeSiteNews.com (24 April) that nearby Holy Mass will be suppressed in August.

College officials say that this is being implemented by direct order from Rome: "It was not initiated by the Archbishop [of Baltimore], who has been supportive of the Latin Mass and the Collegium."

Officially, this extremists step is being enforced by Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore after "consultation" with the Vatican. In the Vatican "consultation" means "dictation".

For the Collegium Sanctorum Angelorum, Holy Mass is an important part of the formation of students. Its website states: "The spiritual life revolves around the traditional Latin Mass at nearby St Mary's Catholic Church, a parish of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Students attend Mass and sing Lauds and Vespers daily."
