Let's be realistic about this for a few milliseconds. If that balloon blew over from PRC, it was being tracked by the US military and the US intelligence agencies, and, if a genuine threat, could and would have been intercepted long before reaching the US.

apparently our military moves slowly.......... worked out for the Chinese, tho. Whatever the purpose, their balloon traversed the whole of the US and was shot down in International waters. At the last report, the US recovery team didn't think it could get to the crash site before the Chinese....... well done US military /sarc/

Uh huh. So this Chinese military spy machine (oops, I meant to say weather balloon) is spotted a couple days ago over Montana. It is finally shot down after it has crossed the entire continental U.S., over the coast of the Carolinas. Stay confessed folks, tomorrow is not guaranteed.
