Official Vatican Outlet Accuses Donald Trump Of "Fake News"

The German edition of the official outlet VaticanNews.va has approvingly reported about Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki accusing U.S. President Donald Trump of making "ample use" of "fake news".

VaticanNews.va chose as a title for the controversial article, "Cardinal: Trump did not invent fake news, but...".

Talking to domradio.de, Woelki alleged that Trump "lies through his teeth". No examples are given.

He added ironically that Trump is "not the inventor of the concept of fake news" because already the prophet Isaiah warned of fake news.
