The Truth of the Law Remains: Fr John Zuhlsdorf writes on his blog that for the foot washing on Holy Thursday only males can be chosen according to unambiguous Church law. Nevertheless Pope Francis will wash the feet of women. Zuhlsdorf: “If he wants to set aside the law, so be it.” But: “The rest of us are obliged, to obey the law. The ordained made promises at ordination to obey the Church’s laws.”

Gay Lobby in the Vatican: In front of La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, Cardinal Raymond Burke argued that there is more and more evidence of a gay lobby trying to push the Synod of Bishops in a certain direction. Quote: “During the Synod it was said that homosexuality had nothing to do with the family and that one would need to convoke a own Synod if one wanted to tackle this problem. But then – Cardinal Burke adds – “we were confronted in the Relatio post disceptationem with this theme which was not discussed by the Synod Fathers.”

Fired For Being Catholic: Patrick Archbold, the author of the great Catholic blog creativeminorityreport.com has been fired by the neocon National Catholic Register after five years. Quote: “It is with some regret that I must inform you that my employment as a contributing blogger at the Register has been terminated.” According to Archbold over the last year his contributions were not well received by the editors. Not so the readers. Quote: “I will note that upon my departure, among the top 10 posts for the last 3 weeks, you will find three of my contributions.”

Problematic Synods: On April 1 the Osservatore Romano published parts of an interview with Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople with the Civiltà Cattolica. Interestingly, Bartholomew criticizes syndodal structure in Orthodox communities. Quote: “It is important how orthodox leadership is lived, whether it is really a model for collegiality or rather an occasion or an alibi for national or institutional rivalry.”

PAPAL oath of coronation

I pledge to:

Do not change anything from the tradition passed to me or anything, which was before me guarded by my predecessors pleasing to God, neither violate nor change, nor permit any changes.

On the contrary, hot love, as his disciple and successor, with reverence given to me to keep good, with all my strength and all my strength.

Defend the Holy Canons and Decrees of God papal orders as received from Heaven, because I am fully aware that you, whose place I deal with the Grace of God, of which I am the Vicar with your help, you surrender your najsurowszemu divine judgment before the Court all what I preach.

If I had done anything to the contrary [the oath] or allow such an act could be made, you will not have mercy on me a terrible day of God's Justice.

Therefore, without exception, apply the severest excommunication for anyone - whether on Ourselves, whether it be anyone else - who would dare to take anything new that would conflict with the ancient tradition of evangelical orthodoxy and purity of the Faith and the Christian religion, or who would like to to make a difference through its active opposition, or to agree with those who undertake the project as sacrilegious.

👍 @rhemes1582 Don't forget that the Gay Lobby and Militant feminists have worked hard to destroy traditional fatherhood... because they hate ANY image of God the Father in the mind of man. 👌

Although any Pope does not need permission to set aside ecclesiastical law,
it would be better if the Pope set an example for all the Cardinals, Bishops, and Priests, by adhering to the required Rubrics set by the Magisterium.

This Pope causes too much confusion due to his lack of clarity, by not reiterating that all Cardinals, Bishops, and Priests must adhere to the Rubrics.

The Rubrics specifically call for "Men".

Next time the Bishop of Rome washes the feet of some sorts of gender-confused beings.
