After Essen Bishop Overbeck, Germany, said during the October 21 press conference of the [s]ex-synod that “we are setting aside traditions”, the journalist Diane Montagna approached him at the end of the briefing.
She asked Overbeck twice if he meant that we must set aside "Apostolic Tradition" — to which he twice replied “yes”.
After this became known, Matthias Kopp, the spokesman for the German bishops, tried to do damage control. He told DieTagespost.de (October 24) that “I [= Kopp] was standing with Bishop Overbeck" when Montagna asked Overbeck how to understand his answer about tradition, "His answer was: 'As I said it',” Kopp claimed literally.
It was easy for Montagna to set the record straight. On October 28, she stressed that the video evidence from the Vatican's live stream (below) says otherwise than Kopp. It shows Montagna walking up to Overbeck and talking to him, with Kopp on the other side of the stage.
Only at the end of the dialogue does Kopp join the conversation.

Clericalism?

Exactly. And when Francis hides and protects his friends, that is clericalism too. A cassock, saturno and lace are not parts of the uniform of clericalism. Very much the reverse.
Ursula Sankt
Unbelievable levels of clericalism on display.
