Ciudad del Este: Francis Continues His Work of Destruction

Francis has dealt another blow to the once vibrant diocese of Ciudad del Este in Paraguay.

The diocese is still in free fall after the dismissal in 2014 of its late Bishop Rogelio Livieres (+2015), who ran a thriving seminary and ordained more than 60 priests in his ten years as bishop. But Francis has destroyed everything.

This Saturday, 10 February, the Holy See announced the creation of the new diocese of Canindeyú, with territory taken from the diocese of Ciudad del Este.

Its first bishop will be the current Vicar General of Ciudad del Este, Monsignor Roberto Carlos Zacarías López.

According to La Cigüeña De La Torre (11 February), Zacarías López is known for his anti-Catholic attitude and rebelliousness.

He was Rector of the Seminary of Ciudad del Este (2017-2018).

Paraguayan Church sources confirmed to La Cigüeña De La Torre that Francis is rewarding Zacarías' anti-Church activities with this appointment.

The new diocese takes power away from the bishop of Ciudad del Este - one of the best in the deplorable Paraguayan episcopate - who was appointed in December and only took office on 3 February.

Only the Modernist church could have ‘anti-Catholic, rebellious’ monsignors.
