Francis' Synod Is "Megaphone for Views Foreign to the Church" - Bishop

The mantra of Francis' synod is to "listen to everyone" [except Catholics], wrote Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of 's-Hertogenbosch on VitaminExp.blogspot.com (4 November).

He calls the Synod, which includes those who disagree with the Church, a "megaphone for views foreign to the Church". The synod "draws up a list of grievances to debate". People whine that the Church "doesn't accept" their views, which Mutsaerts says is "not entirely true" because "the Flemish and German bishops go a long way with them." For Mutsaerts, this is "much more tragic".

The complaint contained in a synod text that the Church "pays no attention to polygamy" is curious to Mutsaerts, who notes that the same synod shows "no empathy" for Catholics.

For him, it is clear that the Synod is about changing "church positions". The hearing process shows an "evaporated faith" that refuses to accept the teaching of the Church.

Mutsaerts therefore concludes that God is "not present" in this "vile Synod" and the Holy Spirit has "absolutely nothing to do with it." This is also shown by the fact that there are "a little too many" defenders of homosexualism, abortion and secularisation among the main actors of the Synod.
