Doomed Project: Even Schönborn Strikes At German Synod

“This isn’t synodality anymore; this is some other way, but certainly not synodality in the sense of the Church,” Vienna Cardinal Christoph Schönborn told Communio.de (June 15) about the German Synod.

Synodality makes for Schönborn only sense if biblical and traditional foundations are "not completely" [sic!] disregarded [except for homosexualism which Schönborn promotes].

The fact that the German Synod questions ordained ministry shows for Schönborn that "something has gone wrong" because that is not something that can be negotiated in a synod.

For Schönborn, sexual abuses are used to promote other topics like ecclesiological changes.

In social networks, Catholics remain suspicious because "unfortunately, the cardinal cannot be trusted.“
