Sandhurst is a mini-diocese (93,680 Catholics) south-east of Melbourne. Mackinlay told Katholisch.de (March 12) that the “discussion” at the German synod was "not ideological" - although the 90% approval was reminiscent of a Red or Brown Socialist Party congress.
Mackinlay recalled a document by the Australian bishops which avoids commenting on the common sense statement that there are two sexes but instead devotes itself to “pastoral practice”. He also explained that Catholic schools do not follow Catholic teaching on this issue.
“We don't take the [common sense] position that there are only two genders” and “we're saying that there are people who experience their own gender in different ways” [which doesn't change the reality].
Catholic schools in Australia don't encourage "changing" the gender [as if it were possible] but they want to be involved so that such [unreasonable] decisions are made “reasonably.” This means that gender mutilation is encouraged.
Mackinlay expects the Synod on Synodality to have the same “discussions” on gender ideology as in Germany and Australia and to show “support” for homosexual sins.
