The Sec of State is often considered a candidate, but I don't a see Parolin as a legitimate possibility. He is too much associated with Francis, whose papacy is not considered successful by many cardinals. And he is probably too young. With so much of the Church shaken from the Bergoglio papacy, it's too early to pick a winner. Right now names are emerging as bait in order to assemble a coalition for other possibilities. IMHO, there is one certitude: In 2013 many Cardinals voted for someone they didn't really know, with the assumption that there would be a continuation of the JPII-BXVI papacies. That didn't happen. The next conclave will not be filled with such presumption and negligence.
