Francis Acts Like Nero - Dutch Bishop
Bishop Strickland is “humble, balanced, and faithful to the Church”, writes retired s-Hertogenbosch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts, 65, on his blog.
No specific accusations have been brought against Strickland. Against a papal decision, no appeal or defence is possible, “It is extremely unusual to be deprived of a canonical procedure,” Mutsaerts continues, “these are methods we might expect to see in North Korea, or Rome in the days of Nero."
Strickland's very polite criticism of what is going on in the Vatican is for Mutsaerts the reason why he was sacked [while Francis hypocritically calls for "bold speech"].
He compares this to the German bishops who “blatantly contradict directives from Rome” and “preach heresy” but Francis "tolerates everything".
Mutsaerts concludes: “There’s something well and truly wrong in the Church."
