Vatican Studies Plan For Meeting

The Vatican is mulling over extending Francis' June Lebanon trip with a flight to Jerusalem to meet Moscow Patriarch Kirill there, Reuters.com reports (April 12).

This would be the second time they meet after their 2016 encounter in Cuba (picture). Israel and Lebanon are at war with each other, so the plan is for Francis to be in Lebanon on 12/13 June and fly to Amman, Jordan on the morning of 14 June. From there Francis would take a helicopter to Jerusalem to meet with Kirill and then return to Rome via Tel Aviv.

The so called "patriarch" of MOscow has spoken out in favor of the Ukraine war and Putin, urging him to defend "holy" Russia. There is nothing "holy" about Russia, and he is no "patriarch" of anything other than a corrupt "church" totally loyal to Putin. I read that the war in Ukraine has all but destroyed both the Ukranian Orthodox Church (which has ties to Moscow), and the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine. Good riddance. The only legitimate Orthodox Churches are those loyal either to the Patriarch of Constantinople(Greek Orthodox) Patriarch Bartholomew, or the Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt and Ethiopia and Eritrea. Any Orthodox Church with any connection to or loyalty to Moscow is an illegitimate Church. Any contact between the Roman Catholic Church and Russian Orthodox Church is illegitimate.
