First Time: Vatican Institution "Apologises" To Homosex Group

The Vatican's Synod Office "apologised" for taking down a video of the controversial homosex group “New Ways Ministry,” NcrOnline.org reports (December 13).

The apology was written by Thierry Bonaventura, the communication manager of the Synod of Bishops. He removed the propaganda video on December 7 because he learned that the US Bishops had censured the group among other things in 2010 for supporting homosex pseudo marriage.

As reaction to the removal, New Way’s Ministry published two 2021 letters received from Francis which endorse the group. On December 12, Bonaventura claimed that he took the initiative to de-publish the video “personally” for - what he hermetically called - “internal procedural reasons.” As could be expected, he indulged in obligatory homosex whining, “This brought pain to the entire LGBTQ community who once again felt left out.”

So he "felt" that he "must apologise" to all homosex propagandists and to New Ways Ministries "for the pain caused.” He now encourages - what he calls - “LGBTQ groups” to send him their contributions and resources to webmaster@synodresources.org.

The Church has spoken clearly and forcefully about this matter:

“Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.“

This is the Official Magisterium of Holy Mother Church with regard to this subject, as it is to be taught and practiced always and everywhere. Thus, in spite of anyone’s else’s individual OPINION, no public online propaganda or private/personal correspondence - papal or otherwise - changes what the whole Church stands for and holds to be divinely true. Which is:

HOMOSEXUAL ACTS ARE SIN

And until and unless the Holy Father (or a full Ecumenical Church Council under his auspices and approval) openly and officially decrees something entirely different utilizing the full power of his Papal Office and the authority of the Apostolic See, and promulgates explicitly and without ambiguity such a proclamation throughout the universal Church, THIS and only this, is the final word on the matter.
