Schneider: Roman Rite Is A Lion Francis Wants to Cage
To bring back the sacrifice of Mass, it's indispensable that priests face the Lord, Bishop Schneider told CrisisMagazine.com (March 18). He observes that
• ministers of all big religions face the same direction as their congregation
• this was the attitude in the temple of Jerusalem
• the Church has prayed like this since the first centuries
• this is an unchangeable apostolic law
• this is for the oldest Church Fathers the liturgical orientation
• even the Lutheran liturgy follows this rule.
The fashion of facing the people started with the Calvinists who don't believe in the sacrifice nor in Christ's presence in the host. After Vatican II, this abuse entered the "Latin" Rite creating an atmosphere of a lecture or meeting.
Schneider concludes that the Novus Ordo is “deficient” whereas the Roman Rite started in 2007 with Summorum Pontificum its “course of triumph especially among the young people.” He explains that the Roman Rite is like a powerful lion that will, once freed, go and defend itself. Francis’ effort to suppress the Roman Mass is for Schneider an attempt to cage this lion.
The present rulers of the Vatican are scared of this lion, so Schneider, and want it back into the cage but God is more powerful than the prohibitions of the current Vatican administration.
