A Birmingham court acquitted Isabel Vaughan-Spruce and Father Sean Gough on February 16 for allegedly praying in a penalty zone around an abortion clinic.
Many pro-lifers attended the trial (pictured). Vaughan-Spruce remarked that "I should never have been arrested for my thoughts and treated like a criminal simply for silently praying in a public street.“
Gough noted that a "democratic country" could not be in the business of prosecuting thought crimes.
In the coming weeks, the UK Parliament will debate introducing punishment zones around abortion clinics across the country. This would lead to more thoughtcrime trials.

Catholic priest Father Sean Gough who was charged for praying silently outside an abortion clinic has been acquitted by the Magistrate Court in Birmingham. The priest said that he was proud to be voice for the unborn.
