A New York judge dismissed on January 13 a lawsuit filed by a former seminarian against the Pontifical North American College, stating - not surprisingly - that his New York court has no jurisdiction over the Rome-based seminary.
In the February 2021 civil lawsuit, Anthony Gorgia alleged that he was blocked from continuing his studies for the priesthood because he witness homosexual behaviour among priests in leading positions which also involved seminarians.
Gorgio sought $125 million in damages. The judge declined to impose sanctions on Gorgia as requested by New York Archdiocese and Cardinal Dolan for filing “a frivolous and harassing lawsuit.”
"The Court finds the Plaintiff’s actions in filing his complaint were not frivolous … and were made with a good-faith basis. The imposition of sanctions is not warranted."

What a disaster. God bless this good former seminarian. This lawsuit wouldhave ruined the North American College and ruined it's reputation which as a safe haven for pervert priests and homo seminarians and priests it deserves.

The NAC was founded in the 1850's, was a premier seminary for brilliant USA seminarians sent there by their bishops. In 1954 the old building was given over to USA priests on vacation, and a new North American College was built for 200+ seminarians. It was dedicated by the late, GREAT, Venerable Pope Pius XII in 1954. The seminary was at capacity all thru the 1950's to early 1960's and declined to about 140 seminarians by the time Paul VI died in 1978 due to Vatican II and the vocations decline after the introduction of the protestantized Novus Ordo. The seminary hovered around 145-160 students thru the term of JPII, but with Benedict XVI and especially the introduction of the "Summorum Pontificum" in 2007, entollment topped 225 in 2010 and there were plans to build an extension, which was never started because Francis came in in 2013, and almost immediatly enrollemtn plunged again, till today it's below even what it was in the 1970's, at about 120. Homo enviornment, homo priests, bishops, and faculty, and homo seminarians clubscaused many good men like Gorgia to quit, or were asked to resign.
This ruling is a disaster for all the good men who know the rot of the NAC, especially after the election of Francis, where homos have ultimate power there.
Hopefully, a new Pope will clean up this place, and Rome in general. Otherwise, it should be closed down. Very sad.
