France: Traditionis Custodes Was a Dud

The French bishops are in no hurry to commit suicide by implementing Traditionis Custodes (RenaissanceCatholique.fr, September 1) writes.

• Before TC there were nearly 250 Mass sites in France.

• After TC only about twenty masses disappeared, mostly because the priest was transferred.

• 20% of the French priests are ordained for the Roman Rite.

• The Roman Rite youth movements are the most fruitful in terms of vocations and commitment.

• The 2022 Roman Rite Paris-Chartres pilgrimage was huge: 15,000 people, mostly young.

• Only 20% of French bishop commented officially on TC. Half of them did so to appease the Roman Rite Catholics.

• The bishops of important dioceses (Lille, Bordeaux, Lyon, Versailles, Bayonne, Nanterre) expressed their concern for the Roman Rite faithful.

• In many cities, the success of the Roman Mass contributes to the thinning out of the decadent Novus Ordo which angered those in charge.

• The bishops of the Lyon province want a once-a-month Novus-Ordo-Eucharist instead of Mass, but this has not yet been implemented.

• Enemies of Mass are Kérimel (Grenoble/Toulouse), Ravel (Strasbourg), Le Saux (Le Mans/Annecy), Aubry (Saint-Denis de la Réunion), Minnerath (ex Dijon), Aupetit (ex Paris).

• PiusX has grown significantly in recent years, thanks to Francis’ repression.
